CHAPTER 3:
"This scandal was developed under the tactical tutelage was to simply use the website to satirize the positions of the future president."
When I researched it, satirize is a word similar to mock, so does that mean that the Yes Men would use their group as a way to mock whoever was running for president?
"The name YOMANGO is the combination of 2 distinctly Spanish terms. Mango is a popular Spanish clothing chain currently expanding across Europe."
I have never heard of this brand thinking it was an actual line of clothing but it turns out as you read further that they did not make their own clothing but they would rather steal clothing.
In chapter 3, Lucy Orta's Refuge wear series, she highlights issues of community shelter and mobility through the use of a multiperson tent and clothing. To me, she made this series in order to help those who are homeless by providing them some form of shelter or clothing or sometimes even both.
CHAPTER 4:
"16Beaver is a network of artists, curators, writers, thinkers, and activists who converge on a regular basis at a space in Lower Manhattan to discuss issues, exchange ideas, and raise questions."
This makes me wonder exactly what they discuss during these meetings. Do they bring up issues around the world or only in the areas they live in?
"His critical essays have been published in Third Text, and he is a member of the Arab image foundation Beirut/ New York." I wonder exactly what happened to his essays currently, being as though sometimes documents are destroyed or stored somewhere.
The project in chapter 4 is called, The Truth will be Known when the Last Witness is Dead and displays the Fakhouri documents at the Atlas Group Archive. It is not intended to give audiences a sense of the Atlas Group's mission and documents in general.
