Haydi G/ Ivan Aivazovsky
Ivan Aivazovsky, Moonlit night in Capri, 1841, Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow, Russia.
Many painters painted the sea, but only Ivan Aivazovsky dedicated his life to it. Dozens of canvases were devoted to the sea during his lengthy life (1817-1900). Sunsets and sunrises over the water, storms and calms, shipwrecks and sea conflicts, and even a global flood. Between 1840 and 1844, he traveled around Europe refining his art. He lived and studied in Italy at first. During these years, he improved his creative process and learnt to work from memory.Hello everyone, my name is Haydi, I am currently a sophomore at NJCU. I am a biology major, but I like to paint most of the time because it makes me feel calm. I really love any paintings that is involved in nature such as the sun, sky, clouds, trees, etc. I was really inspired by Ivan Aivazovsky's painting because thats what I always do, try to improve my art/painting skills. In addition, most of the time I like to take pictures of the sunrise, sunset, and the moon. I do like to explore many different things in life.
