Intervention 1 Recism

The purpose of my intervention is to share with the people one racist incident you have personally experienced as a Muslim. Racism has existed since ancient times, especially among Muslims. I have encountered many nationalities and people, and some are racist. For example, I like to listen to prayers on my phone. One day in school, I heard a sound from my phone, and it was the prayer sound. A student said in a rude manner that I should turn off the sound of the prayer because this was something ugly that could not be heard. I decided today to go out and interview Muslim people who have experience with the race situation. The first person I spoke with, Habiba Elsayed, said she was at school and her classmate made fun of her because she wore a hijab. The second Manar Hegazy is an equestrian who cannot speak English well, so I chose to interview her in Arabic, as that is my language, so her experience was finding a job when she came to the United States for the first time. When she was looking at the stories, she found some stores saying they were hiring. She got there and asked them if they were hiring at the time, and they said no. She said
ok and left, but the next day her friend was paying for items from the store, and she saw that they were hiring. When she asked them if they were hiring, they responded, "Yes." Her friend then told her they were hiring so she felt disappointed that they told her no due to her wearing a hijab. According to "Racial Discrimination and Systemic Racism", American Muslim students are also more likely to be suspended, expelled, subjected to corporal punishment, arrested, and referred to law enforcement than white students while attending school, and are routinely denied the opportunity to fully participate in public education.

Valeria Rivera is an artist from the Reclaiming the street chapter of a preliminary and guide to public and private space in Amsterdam. She interviewed some people in public and private spaces. The artist's works were particularly inspiring to me. She is an artist who works in a wide variety of ways including videos, performance art, activism, and radio. The first guide was a preliminary guide to public and private spaces in Amsterdam, along with a city map based on the practices of industrial walker "Like Piper", Tavare also made a map illustrating the routes through the city based on the practices of industrial walkers "Like Piper, Tavare explores the interpenetration of private and public spaces, focusing as well on chance encounters and creative appropriation of speech by its users.” Her project is related to mine because we both have an idea, she is making a preliminary guide, while I am trying to make people feel comfortable with Muslims.
