About Me!

Peter C. Vey, Streets of Havana (2014). Courtesy of Gallery on Greene.   This painting by Peter Vey represents a lot about me. The painting shows where I come from which is Cuba. But the meaning is deeper. Looking at the painting, it looks pre-historic and seems old school. But its actually not, this is how Cuba looks right now. Cuba is not caught up with the times, they stayed true to themselves. They do not even have iPhones over there! Aside from the fact that I am Cuban, this painting shows the old school factors with the car, laundry on the balconies which is who I am. I am an old school kind of person, I enjoy antiques, I also enjoy learning about new things and how people lived in the past. Which in Cuba is still the present. That is why I chose this painting.

Now This is me. My name is Jose Bejerano. My major is Health Education and I am a junior at NJCU. I graduate in Spring 2023, so I am very close. I like to try new things and explore different things in society when I can. I have been focusing on school the past few years and I have done well. I have made Dean's List the last 4 semesters and earned a scholarship for this school year based on my performance in academics last year. I look to finish strong and getting my master's degree soon.
